What is this?

In 2010, my life changed dramatically. Instead of moving home after university so I could look for a job and figure out what I want to do with my life, I put on a beautiful white dress and a pair of red high heels and walked down the aisle of my childhood church. In front of God and our community of family and friends, I stood hand in hand with the man I love and committed myself to him unconditionally. I placed him like a seal over my heart.

Since that blustery day in May, my life has turned completely upside down. We moved to the Big City, rented an apartment in a tall building, got an adorable dog, started new jobs, went to new churches, discovered a new life. And the change just doesn’t seem to stop. At the beginning of 2011, we put in an offer on an adorable little house in an old suburb of the city. It’s a fixer-upper, so we’re bracing ourselves for a brand new adventure of renovations and its challenges.

This blog reflects the topsy-turvy nature of our lives; it is a hodge podge, a mish mash, a potpourri. It is a collection of our adventures, our quiet moments, our dreams, our struggles, our hopes. I love to cook, read, play piano, and be creative, so you’ll find a lot of that here.

I love to hear from you guys, whether you comment, send me an email, a note on Facebook, or actually talk to me in person. It’s always a little heartwarming to hear that people are reading and enjoying the things I write.
